Tonight news (22-JULY-09) got highlight some happening bout the 日全食, the natural pheonomena that happen rarely, i doubt and confuse what is 日全食?
paiseh, actually what we learn from book is mainly Malay.

A solar eclipse(日蚀) occurs when the moon passes between the Sun and the Earth so that the Sun is fully or partially covered. This can only happen during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from the Earth.

There are four types of solar eclipses:
A total eclipse (日全食) occurs when the Sun is completely obscured by the Moon. The intensely bright disk of the Sun is replaced by the dark silhouette of the Moon, and the much fainter corona is visible. During any one eclipse, totality is visible only from at most a narrow track on the surface of the Earth.

An annular eclipse(日偏食) occurs when the Sun and Moon are exactly in line, but the apparent size of the Moon is smaller than that of the Sun. Hence the Sun appears as a very bright ring, or annulus, surrounding the outline of the Moon.

A hybrid eclipse(日环食) (also called annular/total eclipse) transitions between a total and annular eclipse. At some points on the surface of the Earth it is visible as a total eclipse, whereas at others it is annular. Hybrid eclipses are comparatively rare.

A partial eclipse (全环食) occurs when the Sun and Moon are not exactly in line and the Moon only partially obscures the Sun. This phenomenon can usually be seen from a large part of the Earth outside of the track of an annular or total eclipse. However, some eclipses can only be seen as a partial eclipse, because the umbra never intersects the Earth's surface.

侵犯处：胃、小肠、大肠。

流行病学：
所有年龄均可发生，但是在1-5岁的小孩和超过60岁以上的成年人会特别严重。

症状：
1.恶心，有时会造成呕吐。
2.下痢，可能从2-3次的软便到非常频繁的水便。
3.腹部痉挛痛或压痛。
4.食欲丧失。
5.发烧。
6.全身无力。

病因：
1.感染（病毒、细菌或寄生虫）
2.食物中毒
3.食物过敏
4.情绪不稳（特别是生气或沮丧的情况）
5.过分摄取酒精类饮料
6.使用太强的缓泻剂
7.肠胃道中正常菌种的改变

危险因子：
1.年龄超过60岁以上的成年人。
2.新生儿和婴儿。
3.不恰当的饮食。
4.过分的酒精类饮料摄取。
5.药物的使用，例如：阿斯匹灵、非类固醇抗发炎药剂、抗生素、缓泻剂、可体松或咖啡因。
6.到国外旅游。

如何预防：
1.如果您周遭的人有肠胃炎的情况时，您必须经常洗手。
2.尽量避免上述所提到的病因和危险因子

适切处置：
1.自我照顾
2.接受医师的诊治
3.住院，如果严重脱水时。

诊断评估：
1.自我症状的观察
2.接受医师的病史询问和理学检查
3.接受实验室检查，例如：血球计数和粪便常规检查或粪便培养等

可能的并发症：
1.严重的脱水（此时需要以静脉输液来补充水分）
2.因为肠胃炎的症状可以和其他疾病相似，所以如果没有谨慎区分时，会导致严重的疾病

预后：
通常呕吐和下痢会在2-5天内消失，但大约在一个星期内病患会感到虚弱、无力和沮丧等情况。

整体评估：
通常不需将罹患肠胃癌的病人隔离。

用药：
药物通常是不需要的，如果肠胃癌的情况严重或病况延长时，您的医师可能会开立抗呕吐或抗下痢的药物。有些抗下痢的药物会延长下痢并且具有刺激作用，所以宜小心使用。

建议的活动：
必须卧床直到恶心、呕吐、下痢和发烧消失为止。

建议的饮食：
1.可以经常吸允冰块或喝少量的清澈液体。
2.在下痢和呕吐停止后可以喝少量清澈的液体，例如：开水、柠檬苏打或胶质类的食物，例如：布丁。
3.如果在喝水之后的12小时内没有异样，可食用少量的软质食物，例如：烹调过的米饭、马铃薯和优格类的食物。
4.如果尝试软质食物2-3天后，仍无异样时，可以慢慢的恢复正常饮食，但是要避免酒精及辛辣的食物（披萨或洋葱类）、生菜、生的水果、沙拉、奶油、咖啡和牛奶。

何时该找医师：
1.当您有上述肠胃炎的症状持续超过两天时。
2.在接受治疗时有下列情况发生：
（1）在粪便中有黏液或血丝出现。
（2）发烧大于38.3℃。
（3）腹部肿胀。
（4）腹部或直肠有剧烈疼痛，特别是疼痛开始于中央而后慢慢移至右下腹部 时。
（5）在治疗后呕吐和下痢重新出现时。
（6）有脱水现象出现时，例如：嘴巴干、皮肤皱褶、极度口渴或尿液量减少 时。
